Our Story

Step into our world; where animals roam, crops grow, and family life thrives.

My name is Julia. I run a mixed farm in Northumberland with my husband Roy, our girls Poppy, Lucy, Romilly and Lydia, and Roy’s parents, Nigel and Janet. From the sweeping views to the winding walkways, we love where we live. And we want others to experience the natural beauty that this corner of the world has to offer.

Our aim is to make guests feel as though they’re in the middle of nowhere, without compromising on any modern conveniences. That’s why our newly-renovated holiday homes offer the perfect blend of serenity and style. Whether you choose to cosy up by the fire, gaze at the stars or take a walk around the surrounding fields, we invite you to make the most of every second you spend here.

From our family to yours, welcome to your next countryside getaway.

Meet the Sisters

Our daughters are four spirited girls with distinct personalities and passions. These much-loved little characters inspired The Four Sisters name.

Poppy

Poppy helps on the farm when she can, but her main passion is horse riding. She competes for her school and local pony club on a regular basis. Our eldest loves long distance running, and can often be seen running in the Cheviot Hills.

Lucy

Lucy loves horse riding too, and is an active member of the local pony club. She is an expert baker, and whips up lots of treats for everyone throughout the year, especially during lambing time. She’s also our resident musician, and plays the piano beautifully.

Romilly

Romilly also rides ponies. She loves spending time with her friends too, and is amazing with her little cousins. Like her eldest sister, Romilly loves long distance running, and is hoping to join the local running club when she’s old enough. On top of all this, she’s our little artistic one and loves being creative.

Lydia

Lydia is our youngest, and revels in being the centre of attention! She has just joined her big sisters at pony club, although we think she may like the social side of it more than the actual riding. She’s a big fan of helping her dad on the farm, although not always that handy when she likes the pet lambs to join her in the house!

Our Northumberland Holiday Cottages

Our holiday homes are steeped in character – much like the sisters, they’re named after. Discover the unique traits of each happy hideaway.
